can anyone please tell me what this is all about
( <cpuid :00010676 patch id:060c> ) ?
i comes up when booting the system and i don't
recall ever seeing it before. now every time i boot
it's there.

no
.. this comes up as the system is posting. the first line is the motherboard info
then <cpuid :00010676 patch id:060c> comes up and then the system just boots up.

Oh, I was under the inpression that it did it in windows. Have you done a bios update lately? There is probably a quick boot option on the board that has been disabled. What board?

the board is a gigabyte (ga-ep45-ds3r/ds3)
and yes i did a bios update on saturday 8/23/08.

all of them do it.

i didnt notice for ages then saw it after a bad OC thought i had busted something. dw about it they ALL do it. my bros my mates mine all are gigabyte
