Trying to install new video card. Motherboard wont disable onboard video

I've got an athlon 64 X2 5600+ and a m2n-mx se board. I got myself a ATI Radeon 3850.

The motherboard lets you switch the priorety order but it doesn't make any difference. It will not let me use the vid card. Only the onboard. It's been a long time since I've done this so I might have made a mistake. Any ideas?

Just because your onboard is not disabled it still should not keep you from using the card. Have you tested the card in another computer or tried another card in yours? Have you got the 6 pin power connector plugged in?
