Does this happen for the single player campaign also or just multiplayer?

Not sure, only tried MP so far I will try SP when I boot into Windows.
Just MP, the screen is a lot brighter also.

Hmmm....did you try reinstalling and re-applying the patch? My only other guess would be a problem with network drivers.
