when would be a safe time to buy an E8500 and be almost guaranteed to get an E0?
hopefully this month

It's possible to get E0, but it's still going to be luck of the draw at this time.

Had a friend buy a Q6600 from Newegg like 2 months ago and he still got the old revision instead of the G0.

yeah, since im too impatient, im going to have to order an E0 E8400 from tank guys since they are guaranteed to have them.

The price is good too, it's not like you're "settling". Tankguys is a good business. You're only paying $15 more for something guaranteed.
