The fan on my 2600XT I use for my HTPC always seems to be running at 100% and is incredibly loud. I recalled that Rivatuner was able to modify fan speeds so I installed that and attempted to adjust the fan speed; it allows you to pick between 25-100% on this particular card.
No matter what speed I pick the fan runs full blast and the noise isn't lessened. Does anyone know of any other software to try and control this fan? Worst case I was thinking of picking up an after market VGA cooler I just don't want to go that route unless I have to seeing as my temps are usually below 40C.
