I got couple of 478 mobos that have a problem and I am not sure are they dead.
All parts were tested working in diffrent systems so I know its a mobo isue.
When I try to start bare mobo, cpu, psu, memory and video I see led on mobo on and cpu fan works. I use tower switch to start up not a screwdriver.

I know these mobos are working to some extent as I can start up using proper connector and case switch; cpu fan working; led in mobo on.

So please let me know shall I just toss them or what to do.

PS

I also have one mobo which wont give any signs of life thats why I though there might be a hope for these two.

try clearing cmos and make sure the chipset supports the cpu your using also hook up case specker try without memory if you get beeps the mb is alive
