Two new WD 640's - 17ms seek times..?

just got 2 of these today, installed them both, running off Intel ICH9R as single drives right now (going to raid 1 them for my photo's and important data)

ran HDTach and HDTune on both and both give 17.*ms seek times in HDTach and in HDTune i get 16.8 seems a little high...

i recall reading about this and a fix but i cant find any info on it....
\

there is NOTHING on these drives, freshly formatted....

Look for that thread madman made about this. I can't for the life of me find it when I actually need it, obv. There's something bad with the firmware I believe, the access times should be ~12.5ms.

ya, did a reboot and the cpu usage dropped to 3%, better, figured it was firmware based.
