I have an Acer Travelmate C302XMi, and I'm thinking about upgrading the CPU/HDD

It has a 1.6GHz Banias now, can I upgrade to a dothan (chipset is 855GME)

and currently it has a 60GB drive, could I put maybe a 160GB drive in there?

unless you can get the dothan for next to nothing, i'd say it is better to just grab a new laptop?

you can get the 7200.2 momentus seagate drive for the hdd.

No Egg.

I was really just looking for a faster drive, it's only a 4200RPM, which can be quite sluggish...

he most likely has a IDE hdd, not sata
last time i checked in the US, 2.2ghz dothans were about $150. i have a 1.7 735 dothan in my laptop and its really nice when its undervolted
