stupid question..

okay well apartently the words ati, nvidia, and drivers bring up a whole lot of stuff to sift through on google lol

so here it is.. can i in vista 32 ultimate use an ati card and a nvidia card at the same time? i have an x300 256MB SE i'd like to use for my spare monitor rather than the dual link.

most likely not though I could be wrong since I've never heard of anyone trying it. nvidia and ati don't play well together and by putting them both in the same cage your likely to lose your ATI card <---Sarcasm

I don't see why not - it's worth a shot anyway =).

I've run multiple cards (PCI + AGP) for multi-monitors before without any issues (except that the secondary cards were pretty much pieces of junk... I wasn't playing games on em' though)... This was a while ago though

My experience supports that... never tried it on Vista before, sorry! I would expect there'd be a workaround at some point eventually... seems kinda backwards that the rules would change in a new OS to make PC hardware options less flexible...

I looked for the actual Microsoft page with a lot of technical mumbo jumbo on it, but can't find it again. But it just said in alot of big words that you can't mix brands.
