Monster Cable® 400 HDMI to DVI Question!

What is the differance between the Monster Cable® 400 HDMI to DVI Video Cable compaired to a normal HDMI to DVI Video Cable?

Monster Cable® 400 HDMI to DVI Video Cable = $150-$250
HDMI to DVI Video Cable = $10-$20

Branding mostly, plus a few people like monsters lifetime warranty. But Monster is the Bose of the cable world, overpriced for what they do.

Youre really just paying for the brand name. I used 4 $130 monster cables on my HD setup, and when I got a new tv and had Tweeter install it, they used regular $20 HDMI cables and the picture was the same. So as far as I know, you're paying for the name

about $140-$240. Really. Just go with a nice cable from monoprice and call it a day. Monstercable makes there money with nice packaging and dumb consumers.

It's a pure digital connection, so as I understand it such a cable will either work or it won't, quality is not a factor.

+1 for monoprice...I have one of their generic HDMI-DVI cables and I've been very satisfied with it.

Please don't pay that much for a cable like that. I just bought one from Monoprice and it was under $10, works great. Like others have said, the only thing you get with Monster is the name.

I know there's no grand plan here. This is just the way it goes.
