I need some help.

yesterday i made a whole new system:

Antec twelve hundred
Asus striker 2 extreme
intel C2Q Q9550 / scythe infinity/mugen cooler
Corsair 4 GB ddr3 pc 12800 cl9
XFX 9800 GTX+ video card
(LG blue ray writer)
(1tb samsung 7200 RPM)
(WD velicopraptor 150gb 10k rpm)

OS: windows vista ultimate 32bit
(maby end of this week 64bit)

I want to overclock my system (cpu, mem, video card)
But i'm new in overclocking and stuf!

i wanna start with my CPU first the Q9550.
whats the most stable mhz and to get (quite scared to burn all this because it cost me a lot of money) 3,4 ghz? 3,2? or more?

Can anybody please give me advise and help me step for step to get it to 3,2 or higher??!!

Thanks!

My suggestion is to overclock on default voltage settings first. see how far u can get it. no risk involved. THEN work on baby steps. assuming you still want to push it.

Your chip should be able to OC quite high, but if you are cooling on air, you are probably not going to get it past 3.8Ghz without some temperature difficulties.
