I'm going to reformat my PC. I can't decide what OS to go with from the CD. Should I go with windows vista 32 bit or 64 bit?

I here that 32 bit is more compatible with older things.

I have an AMD phenom quad core, will this work with 32 bit? I have 6 gigs of ram, I know that 32 bit only supports 4, so I could just take out 2 gigs and put it in my other PC.

Basically, I'm a gamer. What OS is going to be more compatible with gaming? 32 bit, or 64 bit? so far, from the factory, I haven't liked 64 bit.

Right now - probably 32 bit. A year or two, and you will probably find that 64bit is going to be just as supported. If you want to play legacy games though, you will likely need 32bit.
