I recently overclocked my Q6600 to [email protected]. My ram is running at 400mhz smoothly with no problems. Prime95 stable and everything. My only concern is that at idle, my chipset temperature is through the roof. It idles at 53c and I don't even wanna mention what it is at load. Is that normal for a BloodIron?

53c idle is quite high for 400fsb, i hope ur not pushing 1.65v on the NB :), it also depends on case airflow. i would suggest to reseat ur nb cooler (careful with the warranty sticker at the side, if any lol)

What kind of cooler are you using?

edit- nevermind i miss read you post. I thought it said you Q6600 had high temps.
The high temps on your NB might be affecting you from overclocking higher like when you tried to get to 3.6
