Slow Rig

Hi: My rig acts whacky at times. Once asleep it won’t wake up when moving the mouse or hitting the enter key so I have to reboot. Not all the time though. Speed wise it’s not very fast. I have a dell at work that’s faster than my unit and it’s a business computer.

I decided to go to Vista as a fresh upgrade from XP PRO and work from there. I feel my XP Pro install is compromised with a virus and hasn’t worked right in months. I loaded it last January.

You can see what components I have in my rig and I’m at a loss for why this thing just doesn’t fly. I feel it takes too long to load, my RAID 0 array sure doesn’t seems like it works. Heck I don’t even know what I’m asking for here but I need to tell someone. Any ideas? I’m open for anything. I’ll try anything.

Thanks

Run "HiJack this"

and run the results through the analyser here:

What Anti Virus do you run?

I'm just covering the "usuals" here.

I was using free AVG. I have not ran that software. I heard it was tricky to use and decifer the results.
