So I'm thinking of upgrading my current rig to something with a little more "Punch". I'm also toying with the idea of going Crossfire with a 2nd 4850 after Christmas, and this is what I've come up with.

Intel E5200 and a Biostar TP45HP.

Obviously, I'm going to be overclocking the E5200, so I'll need to get myself a good heatsink to go with it. At this point, I'm not sure what would be a good aftermarket for this setup as I've never made a 755 system before. Are these good choices to pair with my 4850? Would I see much of an increase in my games compared to my 5000+ OCed to 3.2Ghz? I play a lot of RTS games like COH and Sins, along with Dead Space / Fallout 3 / Far Cry 2, and when I play MP with my friends I normally host. And what would be a good 25$~ Heat Sink? Thanks in advance.

For a heatsink I'd say the arctic cooling freezer 7 pro. It's around 26 ish dollars and works quite well.

from a cpu performance stand point even if you get the core 2 to 3.2ghz the X2 black would need to be 3.4-3.6ghz to match it. more then likly on hte E5200 your going to top out around 3.4ghz with no problems.

the board you have choosen is solid but i would suggest just waiting. as you wont get that much of a boost in gaming with what you have now vs going intel.

Is the I45 that much better? That price puts me way over budget and if it's not going to give me that much of a boost then it doesn't sound like it's really worth it.
