OCZ Tech Gladiator & SVC Golden Gate - Aren't they both the same?

Is it just me or is it that both of these heatsinks are EXACTLY the same, yet under 2 different names? The Gladiator seems to be more unknown, and it isn't even posted on the ocz tech website, which leads me to believe, is the gladiator a knockoff of the golden gate, or vice versa?

Also, according to this website, the Golden Gate ranks in the top 10 yet if the Gladiator is the same, it did not make the top 10. What gives?

Could it be the reviewers did not follow the ANSI ISO 9001 testing specs for heat sinks?

Now the really cynical would think someone had boght and paid for a review and others hadden't.

The Vantec 6027 is also the same heatsink (with a little copper foil on the shroud), and dynatron used to sell a heatsink that was the same as well. I got much poorer results with the Vantec than with the dynatron because the clip was different. OCZ also uses a different clip I believe. Different pressure on the CPU will change performance. You should also note that there are I believe 3 revisions of the same heatsink. One of them has a much thicker copper base and performs better than the others; I can't recall which revision is which though.

no doubt contributing to the different results

Be careful with the Vantec though; they sent me one with an awful clip. I believe that they later changed it, but it was a flawed product in its original form.
