cpu question

I am currently using a p4c 3.0, and I might need to move to something with ddr2 and pci-e to play some new games.

my question is, what should I be looking for in the classifieds, think cheapest route possible to pci-e.

A cheap dual core.

Just try posting in the wanted section for a cheap dual core and you should get a few responses.

If you are going to overclock, get Intel.

Another vote for a cheap DC. The pentium dual cores (the E2xx or E5xx, not the pentium D!!) and the Athlon 64 X2s are both reasonably priced. The PDCs will OC a lot more, but I think they will preform about the same.

I don't know much about AMD chipsets, but if you go intel you probably want to go with a P35 board (or p45 if you want to spend a bit more)
