Arrow Saving game in single player ? GTA IV

Well I would like to know in PC version, how to save the game is single player mode?

I heard that in order to save, one must have internet on in background while playing? WTF…is that true?

Please put some light.

Also, if internet has to be on then where Save games are stored? on our computer OR their servers ?

.Net 3.5 here.

And yes I'm pretty sure you need an active internet connection to open the game and save your progress.

i think you just need to make an offline account in order to save the game, you should be able to create a offline live account or something like that

No.

You'll need an internet conection at one point though, at least for Steam.

Basically it needs to see you have logged in at some point. I just went 48 hours with no internet and I was still saving no problem, Steam was just working offline.

You can only save the game when you walk in to a safehouse and click save. It will autosave after you complete a mission, you can not autosave whenever you want though.

wtf? Does the game have the same controller issue as GTA-SA? it would drive me insane if I couldnt save whenever I wanted to AND not be able to control the game the way I wanted to.

Umm all GTA3 and on never let you save anywhere. Complete a mission or safe house is the only way.

You click the game icon, launchGTAIV.exe - it will then verify the realease date (3rd december) - if all is ok, it will create the file GTAIV.exe - then you have to enter youer serial number and unlock code. When you do that, all will be ok, and you can then proceed to the "rockstar social club" screen, where you just click PLAY. a right mess about. and thats if everything goes ok. There have been hundreds of pages of complaints about getting this game to fire up... A patch should be out sometime this week, if not already.

To save a game you just create an offline "windows live" account.
