GPU Countodown!!!!

Due to popular demand, and overwhelming pressure, i introduce to you...

Ok, here's the idea, we need some points, and we need them NAO!

So here's the challenge that has been set forth. Add 100 new GPU clients before New Years Day!!! If you add something new to the fold, or if you are simply new to the fold and are adding a GPU client (or 2 or 3 or 4 ) then please update this thread, lowering the total number in your post. Lets start with

Edit:
The deadline has been extended. Out goal is to clear 55 new GPUs by new years, and the last 45 by the end of january.

Great work so far guys, this has been a great drive so far, keep it up

I just purchased an 8800GT from torin via the classifieds, so there's one. Maybe one more 9800GT for me before year end, maybe.

I'm adding two more as soon as my new PSU arrives. That will put me at 11 GPU2 clients and 3 SMP clients.

You never fail to impress me with your Folding. Here I am Folding on another team, buying some of Torin's old 8800 cards, and I am the #3 producer on my team. I have a 9800 card en route, and a 3850 card is being sent to fold for me in another state.

And you want 100 more GPU's! Sweet! Best of wishes to you. I learned to Fold here, and people often wonder why I am so competitive. Congrats Team 32! You be kicking some Arse!

can't guarantee anything but if I get a pII rig up it will probably house at least a 8800gt or better. Truthfully trying to get ahold of a gtx280.

Once this countdown reaches 80 (that means 20 new GPUs) I'll pickup another for myself.

I have a question. I was folding with my 3870 on my old desktop. I missed the memo that nVidia cards are also now able to fold... and since I have an 8600M GT in my laptop, I could fire that up. My question is this. I was looking at the setup guide for GPU2 in the forums, and I noticed that you have to install a certain driver with a modded .INF file, and that you also need to install Riva Tuner. Is this absolutely necessary in order to get GPU2 F@H to work? I don't really want to have to hassle with .INF files, or install Riva Tuner. Any way around this?

The newest drivers do NOT need a modded inf, and you only really need to use rivatuner to overclock and change fan speed (AFAIK)

Well, I'm currently running 176.44... If I download a version newer than 177.xx I do not need to worry about the .INF file then? Could someone recommend a driver for me? My laptop is in my sig, and I have the 8600M GT as previously mentioned.

That's because we're running such a different mix.

You: 11 GPUs & 3 SMPs (IIRC)

Me: 6 GPUs & 8 SMPs

The GPUs can produce a lot more than the SMP, but the WU mix isn't the greatest ATM... However, right now the SMP clients are pretty good with the abundance of A2 core WUs.

OK, 14 more to go... I'm really starting to eye that GTX260 216.

Well, WonderingSoul bought my other card that was in the classies, and he is going to put it in a 939 system and fold with it, so after the 18th he can join in on this.

(I also have 2 friends that have cards that have promised to run F@H for me, but I don't think either of them is at the moment, given my current stats... Also, I'm actually only running 9 GPU clients right now until the new PSU arrives.)

would a MSI P6N Diamond be able to run a GPU client????
but I am unable to get it to operate...
The Lan will not work and the sound will not work...
I installed XP 4 times from scratch no help,
got drivers from Included CD and MSI website - still does not work..
I have run out of ideas...
The problem acts like the drivers are wrong!!!
Under Device manager...device status I get the report...not enough resources to start

This is with a bare system...only ram and GPU and, of course, CPU...

The MSI P6N Diamond should work. I ran 4 GPU clients on mine. Of course a mosfet caught fire on it, but I think that was just a defective component.

However, I ran Vista on it, so I'm not sure what is going on with your board, but the hardware should be capible of it. Have you flashed to the most recent BIOS?

I can't download the latest from nVidia because you cannot download laptop drivers directly from their site, they tell you to get the drivers from your laptop manufacturers website. I had to download the modded drivers from laptopvideo2go, because I'm running Vista x64 and Dell does not have x64 nVidia drivers.

If there is a client for the 4870 I will run it.

EDIT: Ok I set up the GPU client on my PC which has a 4870 512mb. Tomorrow I will set it up on my other PC which has a 2600XT 512MB.
I will post back when I get the 2600XT 512mb up and running.
