AMD 6400+ Black Edition

I am getting ready to upgrade my CPU and was wanting the AMD 6400+ Black Edition CPU but cant seem to find one anywhere? All the places either say "Out of Stock" or "Discontiuned Item"? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103191

Does anyone know why AMD stopped making this CPU or know where I can find one to buy?

Yea I have already seen that link and check them sites out. Those were all the sites that I could find that CPU at, but just about all of them sites are either "Sold Out" or "Discontinued".

Anyone know why they stopped making that CPU, but still making the other AMD 64x2 CPUs?

What few 6400 ads I could find were listing a price of $120-130. The X3 Phenom BE is also $120 ... :shrug:

I am building another new PC at the beginning of the year with a 780i board and a quad core CPU. But I am wanting to put the biggest/best AMD "dual core" CPU in the PC I have now with my AMD M2N-SLI Deluxe board.

Any suggestions on the next best AMD dual core CPU besides the AMD 6400+? The 6000+ maybe?

The 5400 BE Brisbane's are still available. Only 1 Mb of L2 but they OC pretty good ...

Yea thats actually the one I have been looking at now that I cant find a 6400+BE. Looking like what the one I am gonna end up getting. :thup:
