E4400 L2 TJ Max 85c/100c annoyance...

Hi, ive been reading around various forums including this trying to find out if the tjmax of my L2 E4400 should be 100 or 85. CoreTemp by default sets it so 100c but ive read in various places it should be 85C. In another thread on here I saw that the M0 chips should run 100c but they have a higher Thermal Spec, so in that case should the L2 be at 85c?

Regards
Dan

Doesn't matter. Keep distance to TJMax (whatever TJMax you want) >20-30 and forget it.

Yes but what is the TJmax in the first instance...? As surely knowing that doesnt really make any difference if I dont know what the TJmax is in the first place!

Left TJMax 100, right TJmax 90=> distance to TJmax is the same.

That's why I say to rely on DTS readings because based on these thermal throttle is triggered.
