i want to change the single hdd LED to 2 blue LEDs.

my q is:

from the mobo to the hdd led there are two wires, one is white and the other is red. which wire is positive?

well normaly the red.. red is always positive..
white is ground..
but sometimes green or black could br ground.. but with a red/white cable.. red is poisitve..
if im worng then id be shocked...
but you could get a muti meter and check the lines if the led doesnt work right or something :D
good luck with the mod..

just try it out both ways on the led, it will only work one way anyhow, well, actually it will work both, but only one way will be real bright, that's the way you want it. so long as you don't leave it hooked up the wrong way round for too many hours, it won't hurt it.

Usually on the wires black and white are ground. As for the LED the positive side usually has a slit at teh top of the light indicating that side is positive.
