TJMax, and it's relationship to temperatures.

How does TJMax affect temperatures of the CPU? How is it, with TJMax set at the default 95 in RealTemp, my CPU is around 67 while running LinPack. But if I change TJMax to it's max, which I believe is 130, my temps go up to 93. I highly doubt my CPU all of a sudden got 26 degrees hotter the second I hit the "apply" button to change the TJMax. So could someone please explain that to me? Or if it's already been answered in another thread, point me in that direction please. Thanks

TJMax is the value used to determine what your temperature is.. It's like a line on measuring cup. The chip doesn't tell the system " hey, im 60c" what it does instead is look at it's sensors and say, "i'm xxx far from my max temp". TJMax is the value that is the max temp. If you tell the software that TJ Max is 130, Suddenly the program says Oh crap, i'm xx% away from tjmax.. that's 93C) . See? 67/95 is about the same as 93/130. Approx 70% of TJMax

The tjmax for an e8x00 I believe is 100. You dont really look at the temp of the processor, but the distance to a correctly set TJ max.
