Ok I order the ASUS 790FX motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131339 and the ASUS Silent Knight AL CPU fan to go with it http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835101019

My problem is, once I got ready to install the CPU fan bracket on the motherboard, the CPU fan bracket hits on the motherboards heatsink. It will not let me install the CPU fan horizontally blowing air out the back of my case,(like its suppose to be), it will only let me install the CPU fan vertically blowing the air out the top of my case.

Question is, who all else has the same motherboard, and what kind of aftermarket CPU coolers are you using that know fits and works with that motherboard???

I'll be getting it soon along with a 940BE and I plan to mount a copper TRUE on mine before going water. So I will be able to tell you if a TRUE will mount on it blowing out the back. But just looking at the board I don't think the TRUE will have problems.

Ok I just got my Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme heat sink in and WILL NOT fit on the ASUS 790FX mobo blowing air horizontally out the back of the case like I wanted it to, and how I figured it would be best? The only way to mount it on the this board is with it blowing vertically up towards the top of the case. And even then, it does fit, but does hit right up against the same heat sink on the motherboard as shown in the above post when you mount it. Another 1/16 of an inch and wouldnt fit either way.

Bummer....I guess I will just leave it on there blowing air up out of my case instead of out the back and see what kind of temps I get.
