Question About Set Up


Hi, i just recently got interested in OCing, so i plan on getting a E8500 For some test, is this a good core for OC? or are there better recomendations, my budget for a core is around there, thanks for your reply!

Also, any advice on my set up are greatly apperciated

Plan on making a Water Cool Micro ATX case

PC Design Lab Qmicra v2 Micro-ATX Liquid Cool-able Case
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Processor

Still searching for a motherboard, which will help me decide on the ram

Plan on using a Geforce 9800 GTX

Well if your budget fits an e8500, thats what you can get. Yes, it will overclock just fine. You should get 4Ghz out of it with no issues. More if your skilzzzz let you.

I wouldnt get that case, b/c the watercooling included is likely not better than air, not to mention the fact that most mATX mobos are not good overclockers.
