Hey, I was cleaning inside my PC the other day and noticed my fans are connectec to the PSU connectors not the motherboard pins.

I was wondering if this is bad because,
1:The fans arnt connected to the motherboard.
2: I keep hearing my pc making these clicking noises when itgets hot in the room(is that the motherboard trying to kick the fans @ a higher speed?)
3: Im gonna be buying some better fans soon, so is it better to hook them up to the 3 prong connectors on the motherboard?
:bang head

umm. Most fans do plug into the psu they are usally single speed factory fans. the 3 pin motherboard fans are mostly aftermarket and some are both with 4 molex plug and with 3 pin motherboard plug u can run ether other just depends on what u want out of it. But theres nothing wrong or werd with it. And :welcome: to OCFORUMS if nobody has said it yet
