Nvidia Drivers Installed.. 2.90 GBs????

Yesterday I re-installed my copy of vista ultimate. I used v-lite to incorporate the most recent, signed copy of the nvidia drivers (for my 8800GTS 640mb). It appears to have worked well. Rivatuner and others read the card as using the most up to date drivers, which is 181.22.

now, i dont remember if it was like this before i redid the OS. I never really looked, plus, I was using a prior version of the drivers installed, so maybe this is something new with this driver update.

Ultimately, I see in my programs list,

Nvidia Drivers, 2.90 GBs.

this seems odd to me. I dont ever remember it requiring so much space.

it is likely an error from using V-lite, they wouldnt take up that much room,. i dont think that windows size thing is very accurate at all.

It isn't. It isn't at all. You can never trust the programs list for size. EVER.

hmm its odd. the drivers, since i had them inserted into the OS install, don't have there normal directory folder. as a result, I really have no idea what that is referring to in the programs list. i may just try uninstalling it to see what happens.

thanks guys

it appears a spazz on the OS's part. Even though I know the file size listing can be off, I have never noticed something this off before. well, after uninstalling it, I noticed about 40MB were freed up, not 2.9 GBs. Now I am goin to reinstall the drivers and see if it comes up as 2.90GB again.

thanks
