Left 4 Dead 3D gives you excuse to keep Super Bowl glasses

Left 4 Dead was a popular demo for 3D technology at CES, but there is a way to get 3D in the game with just a few downloads. Ars gives you the directions, but be advised: it takes some doing.

I'd definitely try this if I had a pair of those 3D glasses

When has 3D been integrated in tv besides the occasional movie? Even more importantly what about in games?

There was a movie trailer and a commercial during the Super Bowl that were in 3D and an episode of Chuck on NBC was in 3D. As far as games, I believe Trackmania has had a 3D option for a while now.

Also there has recently been a lot of talk about 3D gaming. There is now a 3D monitor for gaming: http://www.iz3d.com/t-22monitor.aspx and nVidia launched a 3D kit for gaming: http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2009/0...-launches.html & http://www.nvidia.com/object/GeForce...FQVuswodCl7-0g

I wonder what other games can be thrown into 3D?
Combined with the crit nerf, this might make it alot easier to dodge crit rockets in TF2

Of course, I'd need 3D glasses first...

now do these involve the red/blue 3d glasses or the clear 3d glasses that give everything a red and blue shadow?

and as for as 3d games they've been arround longer than you think. go pop in RAD RACER into your NES and hit Select while your playing.

the new driver is really good actually, dont download the reg fix or the second dl link from the article unless you want real dark image and have the dark clear glasses. The other ones work real well but after a while you dont notice the effect (after the wow factoe). I think with shutter glasses it stays with you a lot longer.

eh maybe this will liven the game up only reason i jump on it anymore is to play with friends from here and other games i know.

I mean don't get me wrong i love the game love zombies. But no mercy and blood harvest on versus for the last what 3 months? yeah i'm a bit tired of it. Maybe this will give me some reason to come play a bit more again.

shutter glasses don't use the red and blue but instead use an image that goes at double standard (like 120hz instead of 60hz) and alternates the frames for each eye so that each eye sees 60hz, but alternating, so it gives it a truly 3d look.
