The Zalman VF900 is made for 7900 cards max, but since I already have it I'm wondering if it's good enough to cool a 9800GTX. d3v0 is using it to cool an HD 4850, if he were on he could tell me his temps...

Anybody know? Also what other heatsinks would I need (since the ones that came with the Zalman are busted already)?

It should work. I know people that have cooled 9800GTs with that one, probably wont be as good as the 1000, but it cant be any worse than a single slot stock cooler like most cards have on them.

Cool. I'ma try it... I'll post results and comparison to stock. Soon as the card gets here...
