I have a D-link DI-524.

When utorrent is open, my internet is soooo slow..even when I'm not downloading anything with utorrent.

What you need is QoS. To get that you are going to need a different router. Either get one that has it built in or one that supports DD-WRT or Tomato. I have used both and had better luck Tomato's QoS.

You also might have too many connections open for your router to handle. Try tuning utorrent to open less connections. Also, you can set the max upload/download bandwidth a little lower.
