Odd problem with W7

I am having a very odd issue transferring files. When I am transferring, files if I don't keep the transfer status window the active window it doesn't keep copying. For instance if I begin a transfer and go surf the web or do anything else on my computer the transfer stops. The window will look like it is copying but no progress is made. It does both when I am transferring a file from my server to my computer or from my computer to my flash drive. Very odd. Anyone else experience this?

Hmmm, that's a strange one. I haven't had any problems transferring files and I have transferred to both an external hard drive and a thumb drive while multi tasking. Actually haven't had too many problems at all so far.
