interruption of internet sites?

i am not sure if anyone else is seeing this but it seems that there are number of sites that are not working for me. here are a few that i have noticed and have asked others to try:

http://www.sourceforge.net
http://www.7-zip.org
http://www.download.com
http://www.slashdot.org

this is very strange. i have asked other people who are using other providers across the country and many others and finding the same.

can anyone else chime in about this??

do tracert's on them ? see where the problem is

A clan website I go to went down too for a while (but I doubt this was related at all). Also, Slashdot wasn't working for me.

Now that Slashdot is up, they said they were DoSed... well, indirectly at least.

thanks for the link. it makes sense. when i tried to go to some pages, their custom favorites icon would come up but that was about it.
