Hello,
Trying to help a roommate with a problem he has been experiencing on his desktop. It appears that the DHCP service is not starting and because of this he hasn't been able to connect to our schools network. I'm trying to help him fix this without reinstalling Vista... plus I enjoy a challenge and like to learn.
When you manually try to start the service it gives a "error 5 access denied" message. I'm assuming he is logging in under an administrator account so I don't know why he would be receiving this error.
Has anyone encountered this before? Any tips or places to start? Thanks!
