My neighbor:sn: is saving up money to make his own desktop and I helped him pick out parts and here are what we found:

620 watt ps: http://http://www.compusa.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=3438607&sku=C13-2502&srkey=c13-2502

4gb ddr2: http://http://www.compusa.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=3228139&sku=C13-6082&srkey=c13-6082

Gigabyte p45: http://http://www.compusa.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=4410102&sku=G452-0003&srkey=ep45-ud3p

E7400: http://http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4256897&CatId=2396

Just wondering what you thought, trying to keep it uner $800 after taxes. We already chose the hard drive, case, opty drive and monitor.

CompUSSR? I didn't know they were still in business. :)

As for the parts, it all looks good to me. Just don't forget the video card.

haha yea, dont forget the video card. without video card, its as good as sitting infront of a windows 95

haha, I had the video card with a link, but for some reason the link wouldn't work... Either way it is a saphire 3870. I was also wondering what kind of oc' I could get on the E7400? Not looking for 4+Ghz, but is around 3.2 to 3.4ghz achievable on stock air? I really have no idea how to work with intel's, I know an amd cpu like the floor plan in my house.
