Ok, i need some help. I have an idea and I want to see what it would take to make it happen.
I have a home theater pc. it runs a evga 9600. that fan is loud and temps avg 61C.
I have an old AMD X2 4800+ Heatsink. It has a copper base, 4 copper heatpipes, and aluminum fins.
Here's my idea. to remove the graphic card heatsink and fan. I 'd like to rebend the heatpipes so that the copper block is attached to the video card but the fins are placed near a rear exhaust port of the case creating a much quieter and cooler graphics card cooling solution.
my first problem is to detach the copper base from the fins...any ideas?
