Hi all,
I'm starting my first computer build. I have a Coolermaster CM690 chassis and want to run 6 120cm fans. three of them are fans that came with the case and the other three are thermaltake thunderblade's. My motherboard is an ASUS P5Q.
My problem is that, that many fans will proberly make a lot of noise. In the motherboard manual its says that if plug the fans into the motherboard CHA_FAN 1 and CHA_FAN 2 i can controll the fan speed using ASUS Fan Xpert software. Now i wish to join the three input fans into 1 plug (CHA_FAN1) and join the three exhaust fans into the other plug(CHA_FAN2).
The three coolermaster fans have three pin connectors but the thermaltake fans have a 4 pin and another cable that i imagine is for montering the fan speed?.
1. can i join three fans to run of one plug?
2. can i modify the thermaltake fans to three pin, so i can run them on the motherboard?
Thanks for you time
