Old School P4 upgrade Voltage Question

Hey guys, this is what I want to do. I have an old P4 1.8 with a 400FSB that I am giving to my girlfriends brother and I want upgrade it up to at least a 2.2. Optimally I would drop the big boy 2.8 P4 with the 400FSB in it.

Here is my question. The 1.8's voltage is set at a quite high 1.75 by default. The proc that I want has voltage around 1.475-1.535 volts. I am concerned that the board will fry up the new processor.

I don't think I need to worry since I did something similar to my Dell Dimension and it worked just fine going from the 2.66 Celeron 1.25/1.4 V to the 3.06 P4 1.55 V.

Should I be concerned guys or should I just go for it?

EDIT: And NO the bios does not let me change it. It is an OLD OmniTech tower.

Thanks

if the cpu is supported, it will automatically default to default settings (clocks and vcore)
if not supported, it just wont post
should be no need to worry

Thanks man, I was also wondering another thing. I tried putting a 533fsb Celeron in it once and like you said it did not post. I think if i get the FSB the same do you think it should be good? But then again I don't want to be wrong and out 40 bucks either.
