Steam video/music to PDA??

I have just bought my first PDA, well actually it's more of a smartphone running Windows mobile 6. It's the SPV 3100 (HTC Tytn) from Orange (But is now unlocked). As this is my first PDA I am unsure if it is possible to access my home network (Over wi-fi) using this device. The mean reason for doing this is so I can stream music and video to the device. I have the device on my wi-fi and can access the internet but I see no way of accessing my network or streaming any media. Thanks for any advice.
