Ping and SSH

This is very strange. I've always been able to copy files from my home computer (OSX) to my work computer (Ubuntu).

However, today, I can't seem to ping or SCP my home box.

SSH works fine. I can SSH into my home box and read/write files. But I can't SCP those files.

Similarly, I can SSH into my home computer, and ping my work network, and it fails there as well.

What's going on?
