If you take the time to read his website, Atlas is quite an amazing guy. Obviously, he has very personal reasons for spending the amount of time and money that he has spent. He also appears to be very thorough in his planning and implementation.

He can't, but that set up cost $15,000 and change, and uses the very latest folding client, to great advantage.
I wouldn't want to have his electric bill, however!!
He runs it at his office, with the exception of his PS3 and a gtx295 at home.
