300 gb is no longer enough for me to hold and im thinking of a few options right now

500 GB HDD or 64 GB SSD for my *SSD would be for OS only*

now i have a few options im looking at and i will link them below

500 GB:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148395

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220342

now if i get the SSD im going to keep my 300 gb and use them both, if i get the 500 gb im going to get rid of my 300. what should i do and why?

SSD is tricky you don't want to go with anything that have a Jmicron controller so your choice are basically The Big Dudes (intel SSD but the are frikkin expensive or go with the OCZ Vertex which are more affordable but still expensive

im not looking to spend over 150 so i can get a 60gb vertex ill be happy

If you got the money, for shure!! even just to have your OS and most demanding program on SSD keeping what you got would be good. :) I plan to soon, thinking 60gb will be plenty for windows and all my progs and just using what I already got for music pictures and videos.

shure is,, just like a regular drive...

No, the jmicron chip in cheap SSDs is ****.

OP, you may want to get 2x 7200RPM drives and put them in RAID, or a 10k drive. Cheap SSDs really shine when a few are in RAID on a hardware controller with a big buffer. This makes the stuttering and random write problems a lot less serious.

ok so i see many NAYS for these SSD's. should i just go with 500 gb normal HDD then? which one from my link should i go w ith
