So would you pay an extra 20 bucks for an evga gtx275 over an OC'd MSI 4890?

I am down to the vid card for an upcoming upgrade and while I thought about the 260 core 216 for a long time, I want to game at 1920*1080 on a 24" screen and I want to be able to do this for at least a year.

That being said, would a 275 be worth an extra 20 bucks over a 4890?

I wouldn't... But I've never had good luck with nVidia cards / drivers in Windows.

Hehe, around here the 275 is ~80€ more than the 4890.

get the 4890 and OC it, it should clock like hell.

I wouldnt. From the reviews and benches that I have seen, the 4890 beats out the 275 and does it while running cooler and comsuming alot less power than the 4870. Thats why I am getting 2 4890s and not looking back. Then kick myself when the 4895 comes out in 3 weeks lol.

Yeah I have heard the 4890 is a great oc'er so I suppose that is something to keep in mind. Sounds ATI is the way to go in this situation. So far I have been rotating between ATI and Nvidia (geforce2, 9800pro, x800xl, 7800gt) so I think it is time to give ATI a go again! Thanks for the replies!
