Sears also has their own product, so it cant be THAT bad of a design.

It's a really neat design because unlike a conventional circular saw, it has two blades side by side that spin in opposite directions. Honestly, it seems perfect for straight cuts, but I wouldn't mind hearing any personal experiences with it.

About a month ago I watched the commercial for this early one sunday, it looked great and if it works as well as Billy Mays says it does then it would make a great tool for case modding or anything else, I'm thinking of getting one.

they showed it on discovery channel's show "pitch men" if you need a little more proof. i thought it was a great idea and the demo showed how well it works.

Two weeks ago I saw the Billy May memorial show which featured the DuoSaw. I knew Sears released the Twin Cutter years ago, but didn't have much faith in Craftman power tools. What a mistake! Following a link offered on a different blog I found the Twin Cutter was marked down to $106.00, and there were additional discounts. I bought one and put it to the test. The dam thing cut right through 1/2 case hardened steel bolts like I was cutting through a wooden dowel. It was amazing. I know Sears beefed up the motor from the original, I bought the 6 1/2 inch version with 7.8 amp motor. I know it has its limits on accuracy, but it's incredible for cutting off parts, bolts, etc. I hope the blades last since they cost $50 a set, but that will be in the future. I hope the motor holds up, the salesman told me that the original tools were underpowered and burnt out. That's why they didn't sell that well. Compared to the 3.2 amp DuoSaw, I doubt that will happen to the new TwinCutter anytime soon.
