Hi Guys, I just finished putting together my second PC, but this is the first I've Oc'd.

EP45-U3DR
Q6600 (Overclocked to 3.0Ghz)
XIGMATEK HDT-S1283
Antec 900 Case
Corsair Dominator 1066

My CPU is running at
Core0: 47c
Core1: 39c
Core2: 39c
Core3: 34c

This is about at 12% load, and this is the B stepping, not the G0, so I assume it will run a bit hotter.

I ran prime95 and that **** got hot...

I ran it for about a minute and core0 hit 79c. That doesn't seem good. lol..

MUCH BETTER. One of the Push Pins on my HS was undone, my idle temps are
37
30
26
33

And under 100% load Prime95,

52
48
46
49

This seems much better.

Huh? Explain please.

It's an aftermarket mounting kit that uses bolts and springs to hold it tighter. Most of us get rid of the pushpins as soon as possible.

As Conumdrum stated and I have in a few threads For better downward pressure on the CPU the heatsink is better when using such a kit.

I couldnt get that Crossbow kit, ( out of stock)when I installed My OCZ Vendetta 2 ( very similar to Xiggy) so I made my own.
Seen here http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=592206&highlight=OCZ+bolt+thru

And believe Me the Temps were a hell of allot better
