Thank you, much appreciated!

If your planning to stay on air cooling I'd say stick with a e8400 and oc it. Would save you a nice bit of cash, to put towards an OS SSD perhaps?

+1 on what psu you using, and also what case.

Edit:
WELCOME!

Thanks for the replies & welcomes!

Im buying this PC from a company because I have no idea how to build a PC, so Im not sure what brands will be used, I know they will be good though.

Ive decided to amend my spec anyway, its now...

Intel Core2 Duo E8600 3.33GHz
8GB CORSAIR DDR2 800MHz
ASUS P5Q
500GB ATA 3-Gb/s
2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX285
700W QUIET QUAD RAIL PSU
22dBA TRIPLE COPPER HEATPIPE CPU COOLER
VISTA ULTIMATE x64

Thanks again.

I would want the specifics of that PSU. A lot of PC shops cheap out on the PSU and that is the backbone of your system. If it goes a lot of other parts can go with it. Drop the CPU down the an 8500, 300Mhz isn't worth $80. You can OC an 8500 that much by changing nothing but the FSB speed, a real no brainer. Take that savings and get a nice HSF or a better PSU.
