I have two HD4870 512MB installed on my system. The second card only has one power source into it (I am organising another molex cable at the moment to fully power up that baby). When I try to install the latest Catalyst on Vista and Win7 x64, it crashes with an atikmdag.sys fault.
Now I am thinking the under juiced card is causing the issues. If it is the case, is disabling it in Device manager the only way to tell Windows to ignore it? The screw that bolts it to the case has become damaged and I can’t physically remove the card.
