gtx 280 and 4780 mix ????

ive got a faulty 4780 it doesnt boot and i need to flash bios to get it working can i use my gtx 280 for display and flash my 4780 ive been told it is recognized by windows with another card but i have no other ati card???

I haven't tried this, but it seems like it would work. Have you tried to blind flash?

Yes you can take any video card and flash it. Just make sure when you flash it, your not flashing the wrong card as that could be very, very bad. Course to flash you just need to do it in the bios not windows.

Even in windows you can use both card (except Vista), as the nVidia one could be the physics processor, and the ATI one could be the display driver. Just for future if you wish to try that.
