GPU Client causing lag in 2d

Ok so I noticed my computer having terrible lag while trying to do basic things like drag windows around and scroll. I have narrowed down the cause to the GPU client. When I pause the client, the lag immediately disappears and Win 7 returns to its regular smooth as butter operation. I've not had a chance to look into the matter as I've been really busy but I've not folded for this entire week because of this issue (I keep forgetting to start folding at night when I'm no longer on the computer ). It used to not have this lag problem until recently.

See sig for specs

Running 181.2 drivers on win 7

Have you tried the 182.50 drivers? Aero on or off? If it is on, try turning it off. I notice on my comp it usually lags with higher point WU's.

I would try running the newer driver. I think it is 185.85. I am running it on my 9800GT and everything is running as smooth as silk on Win7 x64. Of course I do have to stop the client for gaming, but that is to be expected.

Use the 185's if that doesn't fix it's something else...no lag at all here on my Win 7 RC 64bit.

You should be able to update them through "windows update".

How did you get those drivers hasn't the RC had the 185's since it came out?
They should have been installed when the RC was installed.

Your on the RC right?
