hi there.
anyone know the mounting dimensions/specifications for these?
i know the lga1366 is larger.
was planning to "make/modify" my current mounting brackets.
couldn't find anything online for the mounting, only for the sockets themselves.
i'm sure it's not that big of a difference in measurements right? or is it?

Try google?

That was really helpful...

I believe the following is what you are looking for...

The Lga 1366 mount dimensions from hole to hole are 80mm. on center.
see this link, section: "b mechanical drawings" (or page 52) http://download.intel.com/design/processor/designex/320837.pdf

the Lga 775 mount dimensions from hole to hole are 72mm. on center.
See page 94 of this link: http://developer.intel.com/Assets/PDF/designguide/302553.pdf

Have fun!

hahaha... thanks for the help Bo_Fox.

excellent specs sheets PsycoPhreak.
exactly what i needed.
took me a while to see the mechanical drawings at the bottom but it's all good now.
now i'm pre-armed w/ LGA1366 knowledge. hehe...
now time to mod :)

Trouble installing northbridge cooler

:attn: this forum rocks! :attn:

guys, any of you good ppl can help me out: I failed to think of any way around to install a northbridge cooler (i.e. Zalman ZM-NBF47, then DeepCool NBridge 8) onto a G41 mobo (the Gigabyte EP41-UD3L). The push pins were too small it just won't hold to the larger mounting holes on the mobo.

Any clue? PM, email, highly appreciated.
