GPU size

Does anyone know the die size for these two cards?

I have the 260 one and it runs at very hot temperatures which I do not like. i know the new 55 nm die size ones run at cooler temperatures.

I'm thinking of an upgrade soon.

Well yes its smaller because of the 55nm used now. It is slightly less power consuming but I don't think we are talking a huge power savings. The 275 might be close to what your card is using now due to higher clocks.

According to good ol' Wikipedia, the 65nm cards have a 576mm2 die, compared to the 55nm's 470mm2 die. However, if it's cooler temperatures you're after, the GTX 275 will run about the same or hotter due to higher clocks and a smaller heatsink (assuming you go with the reference cooler).
